Celebrating Freedon
Coweta County Democratic Party Juneteenth Parade Participation

Join the Coweta Democrats on Saturday, June 21st as we support our local unit of the Coweta NAACP. We want you to help us celebrate freedom for all. We'll line up at Veterans' Memorial Park (corner of Temple Avenue and Jackson Street) at 9:00 a.m. to deck out our two trucks. We need people to carrying our CCDP banners and a few to ride on backs of trucks. During this very polarizing time in the United States, we need to show unity. Wear royal or navy blue shirts with jeans or shorts, and comfortable shoes. The parade will end at the Reserve (18 Savannah Street) just beyond the Greenville Street Park. The parade begins PROMPTLY at 10 a.m. Please line up no later than 9:45 a.m.

Celebrate Juneteenth with E.Y.O. Inc.
at Coweta Democrats' Pavillion
Please join us on Saturday, June 21st from 11 am - 6 pm as we participate in a Juneteenth festival with E.Y.O. Inc. The festival is in downtown Newnan at the First Avenue Park where we will have a booth with cold beverages. We will also have information about joining the ranks of the Coweta County Democratic Party. You can sign up on the spot or join via our website.
Let us acknowledge and celebrate freedom for all as we commemorate June 19, 1865, a day of independence for ALL Americans. We will share the story of Juneteenth and why it is so important in understanding the complete history of our country.
Bring your friends and family out to experience this fun day in the park. There will be food trucks, vendors with jewelry, t-shirts and other wares, plus arts and crafts. Bring a chair, towel or blanket to lounge on the grass. Fun slides and swings are there for kids and families. Leashed pets are welcome.
