2026 Election Information

Important Election Dates

General Primary/Nonpartisan Election​

  • March 2, 2026 - Applications open to request an absentee ballot by mail.

  • Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026. If you are a military service member, family of a service member or and overseas citizens voting in Georgia, please click here for more detailed information. 

  • Early Voting  - April 27 until May 15, 2026. For more information, see below.

  • May 8, 2026 - Deadline to submit an application for an absentee by mail

    • ​Planning ahead helps ensure your vote is counted. If you plan to vote absentee, be sure to submit your application as soon as it opens and do NOT wait until the last minute!​​

  • ​Election Date: May 19, 2026

Early Voting 


Early voting for the May 19, 2026 General Primary and Non-Partisan General Election will be April 27, 2026 until May 15, 2026, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Early Voting will also be available two Saturdays, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

  • Saturday, May 2, 2026

  • Saturday, May 9, 2026

There are two early voting locations in Coweta County:

  • The Coweta County Elections and Voter Registration Office (87 Newnan Station Drive Newnan, Georgia 30265)

  • The Eastside Community Center (65 Literary Lane Newnan, GA 30265)​

General Primary/Nonpartisan Runoff 

  • Registration Deadline: April 20, 2026

  • Election Day: June 16, 2026

General Election/Special Election

  • Registration Deadline: October 5, 2026

  • Early Voting Dates: October 13 - October 30, 2026

  • Election Date: November 3, 2025

General Election/Special Election Runoff
